O Time and Change! - with hair as gray
As was my sire's that winter day,
How strange it seems, with so much gone
Of life and love, to still live on!
John Greenleaf Whittier (1807-1892), U.S. poet. repr. In The Poetical Works of
John Greenleaf Whittier, ed. W. Garrett Horder (1911). Snow-Bound, a Winter
Idyll, l. 179-182 (1866).
Brethren,
Change. We keep hearing that a lot these days. We've moved forward through
another Grand Lodge year and now stand ready to begin the next leg of our
journey. We all congratulate Most Worshipful John S. Ryan for the growth and
prosperity we've enjoyed during his year and look to our newest Most Worshipful,
John Colligas, to build upon the foundation laid by his predecessors.
.
Fraternally Yours,
Rowland L. Francis
Worshipful Master
